Diva Cup Review
I finally mustered up the courage and bought a menstrual cup after doing the quiz yesterday.
My result was a lily cup / diva cup etc.
However my chemist only is selling diva cup.
So I got a size 1 diva cup yesterday.
--- TMI ---
Tried it on in the shower, tried to take it out.
Felt quite alright.
So popped it in and went to sleep after that.
-- THE NEXT MORNING --
I was silly enough to want to remove it as soon as I was awake.
To my horror, I cant feel that stem like I did yesterday in the shower for removal!!!
From a medical background, i know the cup is still inside. But I just couldn't reach it as my fingers are too short.
Tried almost every tip on the internet -> squat, relax, let gravity does its job.
I even had a wee and opened my bowel because of the bladder and rectal pressure after trying to get to the base of the cup. The stem/base was so "slippery" in a body for manipulation 😞.. the pictures of removal steps on the internet are "too easy to be true"
My partner was also searching for the solution for me 😂😂.
I tried for a good 1 and a half hour, until I almost ask my partner to take it out for me.
So the last one I tried was squat + push/strain like pooping.
HALLELUJAH
FINALLY!! I managed to slowly get the stem down and get to the base of the cup and VOILA... CUP IS OUT! (and no spill, bonus for the first timer eh?)
After all these trial and effort, I'll just take some time off and back with tampon for a while before I try it again and freak myself out.
