Unpleasant Paris
On the 7th jan 2013, I took Eurostar with a friend of mine to Paris.
First of all, everything was fine in London departure. Mess appeared when we were about to reach the train station in Paris. The announcement of full halt of the train was made VeRy LaTe!! At last (almost around 2 hours of delay) we were told that there was a fatal accident happened to the train in front of us. Blame myself for not researching enough on their "no sorry customer service"? Already minus my affection towards Paris.
Reaching Paris nord, after standing at somewhere for a moment, there comes a girl asking us to sign for donation,we refused to do so but she kept insisting. And we saw after the donation signature the amount of money were written 20€ there. First thought that came in mind was a scam, run!! We break through her annoyance and she scolded us. I mean what the fuck?!
After buying our metro tickets, we first walked out from the station and tried to find where our hostel is. We were kinda lost and searching for wifi everywhere to use the google map. In the end, with the usage of GPS in my phone, we managed to find the place. Alright..knowing the whereabouts of our hostel, we went on to find the nearest metro station near us, the Anvers. Got lost as usual. Tried to ask a lady for help, started our sentence with "Bon jour", she didn't help. Fine. Finally saw the dark signboard after turning and walking so many times at the Anvers square.
Got on the metro, walked to musee du louvre as our first stop just to take photos (didn't get inside as we are not really a fan of arts and just to see the mona Lisa smiling meters away from the tourist). Came out and took photos of the monuments. I must say, those people (I supposed they are parisian) are just fucking rude! They don't fucking give ways when they walk into you. I mean like what the fuck just both of us moved aside then we can just continue walking without having me completely moving to another side. I mean come on, isn't this common sense?! Just because this is your nation and you do this to me?? Urghhhh
Came out from the louvre museum area..fucking ggot surrounded by bitches asking me for donation signatures again. It is The scam shit! I swear I never saw a single fucking piece of advice about this on any travel advise tip website that I researched!!!! Or this is the fucking signature shit is the pickpocket on travel advisor? specify it man!!! This time I was in a bad luck. 3 girls surrounded me and one surrounded my friend. He managed to get away and ditched me..I was like wtf...?!!!!! I tried to get through those girls but they kept asking me for that signature shit..later when I managed to walk away and trying to run, one girl came up and tap my shoulder saying my phone has dropped and she returned my phone to me. WHaT DA FUQ!!!!!!!!!!! I almost got pick pocketed by them bcz my phone is in my pocket and its impossible to drop!!!!!!!!!!!! And I seriously think they returned my phone to me cz it's too unvaluable. Just an old 3GS that nobody would want. I ran like shit to find my friend that asshole ditcher =_=...
After that freaking incident I keep my phone with my other valuables (which I've already been keeping in my inner pocket) together. If you are wondering why my phone isn't kept inside, it's because sometimes I might want to take a picture using my phone which is easier for me to take it out if I place it at my normal jacket pocket.
And ohmygawd did i just forget to include how fking annoying the blacks FoRCING you to buy a fking made in china souvenir keychain? I literally got mad and shouted back at him after he kept on saying those bullshit to me after I smiled and said no for so many times before I tuned into my mad mood.
Later walking on the street to Notre dame, an asshole fuckhead suddenly scolded at me and my friend. What the fuq again????!!!!!!!!! We were just standing on the roadside fucking reading a
map??????? Parisian u too stress? Jump into the river!
Super unfriendly people in this city. Well, never mind, I adapt to rudeness very fast. I act like one of them to not let them take advantage on me. I put in music less earphone and walk without a map acting as if I'm just a local. And FYI, that actually works for me. :/
After dinner we walked two hours from notra dame to Eiffel Tower. We reached there around 8.30pm. Saw the people selling made in china Eiffel Tower walking around again. Didn't I say I act like local? So with my earphones and you-F-off-face, they really didn't bother asking me to buy.
Okay, queue was long and crazy. But night view is more worth IMO so I went at night. Guess what? A fucking rude French girl (dont ask me why i know, cz she said sth in french but I dunno a shit wat she said and definitely not "pardon") pushed my friend away and just to sit on the some stone there. HUH??????????????? Fine, the queue later moved forward. She stood up. During the wait she kept pushing me. Like what the fuck? After waiting near 30min, my friend and I gave up queuing and decided to go back to hostel and rest as we were extremely tired for this first day of visiting. Before leaving I purposely hit her with my bag with no apology as she's standing so close back to me. So Kia Su ah French ?
Came back to hostel, checked in, rest.
Ah, I forgot to say..in the metro..omg..smell of pee! Are those from the drunk who simply jz pee in the metro station?? Urgh!! Dirty max!
2nd day:
Went to Eiffel Tower again the first thing in the morning. Metro was packed as usual peak hours. I stood like a rude person in the metro also. :/ got down, no queue yet!?? Yay! Ran to get ticket to the top of the tower. It's realllllyyyyyyy foggy up there. See nothing. :/ never mind. After we got down, the fog got even worse for those upcoming tourists. Bluek. Serves u right.
Walked around again somewhere near invalides. Ate lunch, ouch super expensive. Mineral water that my friend ordered was 4€!! =.= gosh...and my food sux..idk why...just not my taste maybe..
Got to arc de Triomphe using metro again. Stupid tickets didn't work for my friend (I experienced this once on the first night when we took metro back from Eiffel Tower). Wasted 2 tickets. In the end we lack 2 more tickets. We didn't even bother to ask the staff in the metro for help as we didn't wanna being treated rudely anymore no matter what circumstances. The prejudice of they will treat us rudely has been fixed in our mind till that we were willing to spend another 3.40€ for 2 new tickets rather than asking for help.
Came back to hostel around 2 or 3pm? Didn't feel like going out anymore. I just wanna go home. Called dad and told him some of the stories. Internet here is as just sucky as the ppl here. I dunno how clear can my dad hear me. Went out for dinner at a Thai restaurant. I remember thank you is kakuncap? So I said it, the Thai lady was a bit surprised and she's really friendly to us. Thankfully!!!!!! =.=
Well, I'm leaving tmr. 3D2N is somewhat too much for me to take it. Hopefully I don't have to edit this page for more rumbles about how Paris has pissed me off on my one last morning. I even regretted the t-shirt that I bought with the "I love Paris" print on.
Update: day 3:
Went to sacred core (church?) near our hostel after breakfast. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh fuckerssssssssss niggaaaaaaaaa came and wana surround us for crap shit donation!!!! I gave them a mazafaker look and walked away immediately. This time my friend was the one got ditched by me and he got "caught" by them. I climbed up quite high to the stairs then only my friend managed to catch up with me. Went into the church. Sat in there. Came out, beggars in front of the entrance and exit =.=
Wanted to walk back down to the street from where we walked but teenage girls donation scam again. I think I'm so smart I already put in my earphone all the time and put up poker/angry/cold/stay away from me face. However we did enter a souvenir shop to try to avoid further irritation by them. Walked into another street and found a new way how the people can annoy tourist - catching u and tell u they can draw a sketch for u. =.= seriously...?
Later we walked to mcD to get lunch. Sat there for almost an hour until a bitch (consumer) told us to get up cz they need seats. Huh????!!! McD has got limited time for customer to sit???? Ah..I forgot...this city doesn't apply the customer service rule. (There's only one mcD here I noticed :/)
Fine, came to train station at around 1pm. I remember the first day we arrived there are already those scammers walking around. So I kept on walking to find departure hall back to London to avoid meeting those people who will make me unpleasant again.
I have had enough of the unpleasant that ive gotten from paris. This city does not welcome me. I think I won't come back for second time. Anyhow me and my friend are still awesome cz we walked around with just a map, taking the metro in a total foreign country to me (well London is safe so I'm not scared, Paris is just ....... =.=) and this is really the first time both of us tried traveling on our own to a non-English speaking country.
That's all. Bye. Fuck ya Paris. *both middle fingers up*
U no nice to me , I no nice to u.
